All aboard the Baker Bus!

A radical new way for constituents to contact their Member of Parliament has been hatched by Lewes constituency MP Norman Baker. A motor caravan dubbed the "Baker Bus" will carry the local MP on a string of surgery stops around the rural parts of his constituency on Tuesday 23 July and Wednesday 24 July, to enable residents to discuss their concerns with him. Any constituent wishing to speak to Mr Baker is welcome at each bus stop.

Norman Baker runs summer surgeries every year, but hopes more people than ever will be able to speak to him where his bus stops around the constituency.

Speaking about the bus stops, Mr Baker says:

"The surgery bus will give those constituents who might have otherwise have found it difficult to come to a regular surgery the chance to speak to me. I welcome anyone who has an issue, problem or grievance to discuss with me - all they have to do is wait for the bus at the right stop. The running times for the bus are approximate to allow for traffic and I hope to speak to as many people as possible at each stop."
