High Court Ruling Is Final Nail In Ghost Fleet Coffin

Commenting on reports that Able UK has lost another High Court battle regarding permission to dismantle the toxic ghost ships in Hartlepool, Norman Baker MP, Liberal Democrat Shadow Environment Secretary, said:

"This is yet another nail in the hulk of these coffin ships. And more evidence that there is no legal basis for the ships to be in the UK for dismantling purposes.

"The Government must now reaffirm its commitment to return these ships to the US at the earliest opportunity.

"Clearly Able UK is hoping that if the ships stay in Hartlepool for long enough the opposition will melt away. It will not."
