Mount Pleasant Post Office Hits The Jackpot

Newhaven's MP Norman Baker has today congratulated the Mount Pleasant Post Office in Newhaven on their successful application to obtain a National Lottery terminal.

This good news follows the local MP's intervention in the case. Although the Post Office had already approved the introduction of the terminal, severe delays at Camelot were stalling the introduction of the terminal until Norman got involved and contacted Camelot personally.

The lottery terminal will be introduced immediately following the installation of the communication link.

Commenting on this Norman says:

"I am thrilled that the Mount Pleasant Post Office has been selected for a National Lottery Terminal and that all we are now waiting for is the delivery of the terminal itself.

"Mr and Mrs Khoshfekr, the new owners, have put a lot of work into getting the refurbished Mount Pleasant Post Office off the ground and I am very pleased that these efforts are being rewarded. I am confident that the lottery terminal will help to ensure the long term success of the Post Office and its vital role within the local community."
