Lewes MP, Norman Baker, is tomorrow setting off on the Baker Bus's four-day tour of the local area, which will carry the local MP on a string of surgery stops around villages and residential areas in the constituency.
The idea of the Baker Bus, which made its debut on the roads of Sussex last year, was conceived to enable the local MP to visit as many local areas snd meet as many of his constituents as possible on his four day trip.
Appointments can be made by calling the Constituency Office on 01273 480281 but people are more than welcome to just turn up at one of the stops on the day. The running times for the bus are approximate to allow for traffic.
Commenting on this Norman says:
"I am delighted to be on the road again in the Baker Bus. It is a great way of seeing the many diverse parts of my constituency and meeting as many local residents as possible.
"Although I hold surgeries most weeks, in either Lewes, Seaford, Newhaven or Polegate, the Baker Bus is a good opportunity for those of my constituents who might otherwise have found it difficult to come to a regular surgery to speak to me in person.
"I welcome anyone who has an issue, problem or grievance that they would like to discuss with me or indeed anyone that would just like to meet their MP. Although you can make an appointment by calling my constituency office you can also just come along to the right stop on the day where I hope to speak to as many people as possible."
