MP Welcomes Local Senior Citizens Party Leader Into Lib Dems
Local Lewes resident David Gray, who last year spearheaded the launch of the Senior Citizens Party in Lewes, has today joined the Liberal Democrats.
In a statement, he says: "During the past two months, I have been more and more impressed with the leadership and policies of the Lib Dems, especially relating to the elderly…I recommend that senior citizens vote for them at the General Election and the County Council elections."
Norman Baker says: "I am delighted that David Gray has joined us. He will be a powerful voice for the Lib Dems in Lewes. David realises that pensioners will get a fairer deal from the Lib Dems than from other parties, and will be helping me get that message across in the weeks ahead."
