Local Lewes resident David Gray, who last year spearheaded the launch of the Senior Citizens Party in Lewes, has today joined the Liberal Democrats.
In a statement, he says: "During the past two months, I have been more and more impressed with the leadership and policies of the Lib Dems, especially relating to the elderly... I recommend that senior citizens vote for them at the General Election and the County Council elections."
Norman Baker says: "I am delighted that David Gray has joined us. He will be a powerful voice for the Lib Dems in Lewes. David realises that pensioners will get a fairer deal from the Lib Dems than from other parties, and will be helping me get that message across in the weeks ahead."
