Norman Baker Backs Sporting Vision For Lewes
The MP for Lewes has today lent his full support to the ambitious plans to make Lewes a sporting town of the future. The plans were unveiled by Active Lewes, an umbrella group working on behalf of a number of local clubs in the area. The plan outlines a whole host of new and improved sporting facilities aimed at bringing local clubs together to make Lewes a leading sporting venue in the area.
Norman says:
"I congratulate all the local clubs who have come together to work on this exciting new project.
"I am greatly impressed by the scope and depth of the new facilities proposed in this plan. The level of co-operation between college, school, and club is also particularly encouraging.
"With such levels of commitment and vision, these proposals have the potential to make Lewes one of the leading centres of sporting excellence in the South East"
