MP tackles A27 problems
Lewes MP Norman Baker will be meeting on Monday with senior officers from the Highways Agency in order to highlight problems along the A27. Norman and the Highways Agency staff will be touring the road from Polegate to Lewes, and the MP will be pointing out locations for action. These include:
- The infamous Cophall roundabout at Polegate
- The dangerous crossroads at Wilmington and Glynde
- The need for action to take out the bend at Selmeston
- Potential problems arising from the work currently underway at Beddingham
- Noise levels on the Lewes by-pass
Speaking about the meeting, Norman said, "I am looking forward to this meeting. It will provide an excellent opportunity for me to raise important concerns about the A27. I hope that the Highways Agency take on board my suggestions for action."
