Parking problems for local residents in Station Road, Polegate, could soon be a thing of the past. Local MP Norman Baker has won a promise from East Sussex County Council to consult residents on changes to the waiting restrictions along a stretch of Station Road. The restrictions were put in place when the A27 was a trunk road, but many residents have argued that they have now become obsolete with the opening of the Polegate Bypass.
After being contacted by one of his constituents regarding the issue, Norman requested that a consultation of the Station Road residents take place.
As a result, the residents of the affected stretch of Station road now have the opportunity to let the County Council know their views by selecting their preferences in rank order from the five proposals summarized below:
