Commenting, Liberal Democrat Shadow Transport Secretary, Norman Baker said:

"The Lib Dems are the only party with the foresight and determination to produce a coherent, courageous and costed plan for transport that is fit for the 21st century.

"We are the only party to produce a forward plan to tackle congestion and pollution while being fair to the motorist.

"While this Labour Government has rested on its laurels and presided over worsening road congestion and an increasingly overcrowded and expensive railway, the Lib Dems have made a commitment to a fair and modern transport system that helps the traveller and the environment."
