1st Jun: Local MP to hold public meetings on coalition feedback

Lewes MP Norman Baker is to hold two public meetings in Lewes and Seaford, in order to exchange views with his constituents on the coalition government between the Tories and the Lib Dems and for them to raise any issues that they have regarding the agreement with him.

The first meeting will take place on Friday 4 June at 19:15 in the Newton Room at Southover Grange, and all members of the public are welcome to attend.

A further meeting will be held in Seaford on Friday 11 June at 19:15 at Seaford Baptist Church.

Speaking on the matter, Norman said: "I have received a large amount of correspondence from my constituents expressing a wide variety of views on the coalition government.

"My intention in organising this meeting is to allow those who have views about the coalition agreement to ask questions and air their views, in the hope that I am able to ask questions and discuss them with me.

"I believe that the Lib Dems have been able to secure a very good deal from the Tories, and that together our two parties have formed a strong reforming government for the next five years."
