Local MP Norman Baker has announced the winners of his annual Christmas Card Competition.
Every year Norman holds a regular Christmas Card Competition in which he encourages the Primary Schools in his constituency to get their pupils to design either the front cover of the card or write the poem for the inside. Each year has a different theme, and this year it was 'Christmas in the Future'.
The winning design and poem features on Norman's Christmas card this year, and the children who produced the winning entries will receive a book token and a tour of Parliament. Prizes were also awarded for 2nd place, as well as a 'best in school' for every school that entered.
Norman received a huge response to his competition this year, with 13 schools from across his constituency contributing over 250 entries.
Norman said: "The artwork and poetry from the pupils was of a very high standard this year, and I was very impressed to see how pupils had interpreted the theme."
"With such fantastic entries, it was difficult to pick the winners, but I eventually settled on a design by Mia Barlow of Rodmell Primary School and a poem by Grace Brock of St Peter's Church of England Primary School."
